Herne Bay man charged with stealing car in Canterbury

A 21-year-old man has been charged after a car was allegedly stolen from a driveway.

The vehicle, which went missing on June 28, was seen in the Littlebourne Road area on Thursday.

Officers arrested the driver in Sturry Road shortly after.

Callum Wiltshire, of Woodrow Close in Herne Bay, has since been charged with theft of a car, theft from a car, dangerous driving, attempting to cause grievous bodily harm, driving while disqualified and using a car without insurance.

Wiltshire appeared before Medway magistrates via virtual court on Friday, August 3, and is due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Friday, August 31.
