Chance to join sports camp

PLACES are still available at Canterbury City Council’s summer sports camps with a range of activities on offer for different age groups.

Week-long courses run in girls’ football, mini soccer and athletics, with netball, tag rugby, hockey, tri-golf, tennis, cricket and basketball is also on offer as one or two day courses.

All sessions are led by fully qualified staff and take place at the University of Kent, apart from the Norwich Union Star:track athletics course, which takes place at the Body and Mind sports centre at Canterbury High School.

Young children taking part will receive a special T-shirt and certificate of achievement, plus details of sports clubs so they can put what they learned into practice once the camps have ended.
