POLICE investigating a break-in at a Kent farm are concerned about a shotgun that was taken.

The 12-bore BSA shotgun was taken from the property in Butter Street, Nonington, near Canterbury, on Tuesday between 2.45pm and 4.45pm.

Police say it has a defective firing mechanism which would be dangerous if it is fired.

If anyone finds the gun, which has the serial number 17277, they are asked to contact Kent Police on 01303 240055.

Information can also be supplied by telephoning Kent Crimestoppers free on 0800 555 111. This call is anonymous.
