Former Deal striker Stuart Vahid who is set for a move to Whitstable

Whitstable Town confirmed their Ryman League Division 1 South status with a 3-2 win at Corinthian Casuals on Saturday.

The Oystermen ensured their safety with two games to go after taking seven points from their last three games.

Sam Denly was the hero for Town with a bullet header 12 minutes from time after coming on as a sub.

Ian Pulman had set them on their way with a second-minute penalty and Stuart Vahid (pictured) made it 2-0 shortly after the half-hour mark.

Two goals in six minutes after the break gave Corinthians hope, before Denly's late winner.
