Police and paramedics called to Sturry station

Emergency services rushed to a village railway station following concerns about the safety of a woman.

Several police cars and ambulances were called to Sturry station in the early hours of Monday morning.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "At 12.42am on April 8, officers were called to Sturry station following concern for the welfare of a woman.

"Paramedics also attended and the woman was taken to a place of safety.”

The woman did not suffer any physical injuries.
