Canterbury: Police release e-fit after boy approached and offered a lift in North Lane

Police have released an e-fit of a man they would like to trace after a boy was approached by a motorist in Canterbury.

A man, who the boy did not know, stopped his car in North Lane and offered the youngster a lift.

The boy immediately ran off.

Police want to speak to this man.

The incident happened between 5pm and 5.30pm on Wednesday, May 17.

Officers would like to speak to a man described as being white, aged 30, with short dark hair, stubble and a tattoo on the left side of his neck.

His car is described as a grey Peugeot 206 with blacked rear windows.

Anyone with information that can help is asked to contact the police on 01843 222289 quoting reference SI/ZY/004280/17.
