Family pay tribute to Faversham father killed on zebra crossing

The family of a Faversham man killed following a fatal collision in the town has paid tribute to ‘a loving husband and father’ and ‘wonderful man’.

Father-of-two John Hobson, of Abbey Street, was walking his dog in Whitstable Road, Faversham, on the evening of Friday, December 7 when he was struck by a Honda motorbike.

The 61-year-old was taken to the Royal London Hospital after suffering serious head injuries but died on Tuesday, January 15.

He leaves behind wife Jody and sons Ashley, 30, and Anthony, 27.

Jody said: "We as a family would like to thank all those that have shown support and kindness at this difficult time. It has been a strong reflection of the wonderful man he was.

"For anyone who would like to show their respects, the funeral is at 1.30pm on Wednesday, February 20 at the Gospel Mission Church in Tanners Street, Faversham."
