Cause of outbuilding fire in Halstead Close, Canterbury, is 'unknown'

The start of a fire which took hold of an outbuilding is unknown, the fire service have confirmed.

Crews were sent to Halstead Close, Canterbury, at around 7.30pm last night where they discovered the building "well alight" on arrival.

Two engines were sent to the scene and firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus and using hose reel jets, extinguished the fire.

They left the scene around 20 minutes later.

A spokesman for the fire service said: "No casualties were reported and the cause is not yet known."
