Four people were treated for smoke inhalation following a blaze in a wooden outbuilding.

Fire crews were called to the scene in Staple Road, Wingham, just after 9.50am this morning.

The smoke had spread to a number of neighbouring properties and, as a result, three men and a woman were given oxygen therapy as a precaution.

They were later taken to hospital.

The fire was extinguished just before 12.10pm. Its cause is not yet known.
