A playful fox has been taking advantage of the coronavirus lockdown - using the quiet time to practise its ball skills.

Just after 7am today, mum-of-two Vicki Sennett spotted the creature running around on grassland in the village of Bridge, just outside Canterbury.

She was surprised to see the fox was playing with her son's football, which had been left on the lawn overnight.

Footage she captured shows the animal jumping, tumbling and racing around with the toy in apparent delight - before becoming equally enthralled by an abandoned tennis ball.

Foxes are members of the canidae, or "dog" family, so it is perhaps not surprising to see the creature acting like its canine cousins.
