Friends star David Schwimmer filming advert in Canterbury city centre following time in Thanet

After shooting scenes in Thanet earlier this week, Friends star David Schwimmer has arrived at a different Kent location for another day of filming.

The 53-year-old, who soared to worldwide fame playing Ross Geller in the hit sitcom, has today been spotted in a wet Canterbury city centre.

He is filming scenes on the high street next to an ice cream van and has been seen speaking to a camera while tucking into a dessert.

Onlookers have been huddling around the shooting location outside Barclays bank in an effort to catch a glimpse of the star.

Crews have been telling fans to not use the flash on their cameras and to make as little noise as possible.

Schwimmer, wrapped up in a scarf and black coat, is protected by a number of security guards.

The cameras are thought to be rolling for a TV advert.

The American actor was out and about in Thanet yesterday and Tuesday, having been spotted by the Lido on Margate seafront.

His appearance in Kent comes after confirmation a Friends reunion show is definitely on the cards.

Schwimmer is best known for his role as palaeontologist Dr Ross Geller - a hopeless romantic and three-time divorcee.

He has also been spotted filming in Deal this week, the actor was captured continuing filming in Mongeham, a village on the outskirts of the town.

His other roles include voicing the giraffe Melman in the Madagascar franchise, and for his performance as lawyer Robert Kardashian in the critically acclaimed The People v. O. J. Simpson.
