Officers were called shortly after 1.20am today following a report a man had been seriously assaulted by two people in Station Road East, Canterbury.

Police are currently near Canterbury East Station where a cordon is in place

“Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a man was taken to a London hospital with an injury consistent with a stab wound. The injury is not believed to be life-threatening,” a spokesperson for the police said.

Officers remained outside Canterbury East Station this morning with one eyewitness saying an alleyway from the station car park leading to Rhodaus Close was cordoned off.
