Illegal immigrants rounded up in dawn swoop

IMMIGRATION officials today carried out a dawn raid in Canterbury picking up 11 suspected illegal immigrants.
Three Ukranians, two Lithuanians, two Romanians, one Moldavian, one Taiwanese, and two Malawians were taken to a nearby police station.
Three were found to have overstayed their visas and taken away by the immigration service. The other eight were undergoing further interviews.
A group of 12 immigration officers and 12 police officers raided the unidentified address at 5.40am.
