Library opens in temporary home

The Beaney Institute which is being refurbished

Canterbury library has opened at its new temporary building at 35 Pound Lane, opposite The Causeway, where it will remain while the Beaney in the High Street is refurbished.

The service being offered from the new location includes books, computer facilities, DVDs, CDs and talking books, a small reference collection and a varied programme of events.

While at the temporary site a free reservation service will be offered, waiving the 25p charge.
