Traffic delays after crash on A2 at Bridge near Canterbury

A busy stretch of the A2 has fully re-opened more than three hours after a crash involving two cars and a lorry.

The London-bound carriageway between the exits for Bridge and Wincheap was closed after the accident at 4.10am.

One lane re-opened just before 6am and the other was clear by 7.30am

The driver was stopped on the A2 near Bridge

There were long delays for drivers while the vehicles were recovered.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 4.10am following a collision involving a lorry and two cars on the A2 London-bound near Canterbury.

"No serious injuries have been reported."
