Two fire engines were sent to the scene, and a third arrived soon afterwards as the flames were close to a property and had spread to another vehicle.

Holly Lancashire-Hayward, from nearby Clement Close, said she saw the "vicious" blaze as it raged in the early hours of the morning.

"My partner woke me up as he heard a loud bang. I was a bit shocked," the 20-year-old said.

"It started off not looking too bad, but a little later it did look vicious. It was a bit worrying."

Crews received no reports of any injuries and managed to extinguish the blaze just after 1.50am.

Police were also called to the incident to assist the fire service.

A spokesman for the force added: "Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the cause of the fire."
