Jordan Smith charged with five assaults on three women in Canterbury

A man was arrested after reportedly assaulting five women in three random attacks in Canterbury.

Jordan Smith was taken into custody by officers called to the city centre on Saturday lunch-time.

The homeless 23-year-old is said to have assaulted one woman in Rhodaus Town, two in Watling Street and another two in Boots in Whitefriars.

Police have been praised for keeping people safe and cutting crime

It is understood no one was seriously hurt.

Smith was charged with five assaults and is set to appear before Medway magistrates via virtual court this afternoon.
