Man arrested after copper piping taken from houses in Sobraon Way, Canterbury

A man has been arrested after nine empty houses in Canterbury were burgled.

Copper piping and cylinders were reported missing from buildings in Sobraon Way on Wednesday, February 7.

A 36-year-old man from Canterbury was arrested in connection with the burglaries last Thursday.

He was also arrested on suspicion of another burglary after police recovered a motorbike which was suspected to be stolen.

Police say inquiries are ongoing to reunite the bike with its owner.

The man has been released while the investigation continues.
