Man attacked after row in street

POLICE are seeking witnesses to an assault on a 26-year-old man following ba verbal dispute in the street.

The victim was walking close to a music shop in Castle Street in Canterbury when he was approached by man in his late teens.

After the verbal exchange, the suspect jumped on the victim and punched him in the face, casuing a black eye.

The offender is believed to be a white man aged between 18 and 19. At the time of the assault he was wearing dark jeans and a dark top.

The incident happened at around 1.40pm on Saturday. Anyone who witnessed the assault is asked to contact PC Eleanor Miller on 01227 762055.
