Incident in Nunnery Fields, Canterbury, leads to Michael Pout being charged with making threats to kill

A man has been charged with threatening to kill a woman after an alleged assault in Canterbury.

It is said to have happened between 8.30pm and 9pm on Monday, when a man and woman were reported to be having an argument in Nunnery Fields.

Police say a public-spirited member of the public intervened and they now want to trace and speak to him about what he witnessed.

He, or anyone who knows him, is asked to call police on 01843 222289, quoting reference ZY/38305/16.

Michael Pout, 28 of Nunnery Fields, Canterbury has been charged with threats to kill and assault and remanded pending an appearance at Canterbury Crown Court on a future date.
