A man has died on a bus in Canterbury.

Police were called to the city's bus station to reports a passenger on board the bus was taken ill and required emergency medical attention.

The man's next of kin have been informed.

Several ambulances were also sent to the scene yesterday and cordoned off an area around a bus.

Stagecoach tweeted the 3.50pm service from Canterbury to Folkestone had to be cancelled "due to an incident on the bus".
