Man found dead in Orange Street car park, Canterbury, behind Beaney House of Art and Knowledge

A man has been found dead in a city centre car park.

The body of the man, whose age is not yet known, is understood to have been discovered in Orange Street disabled car park, Canterbury , behind the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge.

Terry Gore, manager of city-based homelessness charity Catching Lives, confirmed the man was a homeless person who used the charity's services.

He said: "We are aware and it is one of our clients.

"At the moment we only have the fact that he's died, without any details as to why that might be."

The date of the discovery has not yet been confirmed, but it is thought he was found earlier this week.

The police have been approached for more information.
