Man injured after fall from scaffolding

A workman had to be rescued from scaffolding after falling while working on a property in Waltham near Canterbury on Monday afternoon.

The 50-year-old is said to have fallen 15ft when boards gave way at the house in Whiteacre Lane.

A special line rescue team from Deal fire station was called to assist Canterbury firefighters help remove the victim from the scaffolding.

He was taken by ambulance to the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford with suspected back injuries.
