Christopher Rohan was sentenced at Canterbury Crown Court

A MENTALLY ill man devised a plan to kill seven people according to the Seven Deadly Sins.

Christopher Rohan, of Union Street, Canterbury, conceived the "elaborate and ritualistic plan" to kill his victims because he thought they had wronged him.

Two of the 45-year-old’s victims were a woman he had a relationship with and her husband.

He also planned to target mental health staff he felt had not given him proper treatment.

The planned killings were inspired by Dante’s Inferno and mirror the film Seven in which Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman play murder detectives on the trail of a serial killer.

Rohan appeared for sentence at Canterbury Crown Court having admitted three counts of making threats to kill.

He was ordered him to do two years of community rehabilitation with 12 months’ mental health treatment.
