Man punched by youths in street attack

POLICE are hunting three youths after they punched and attempted a steal money from a young man in a Kent city.

The incident took place in Old Ruttington Lane, Canterbury. The attack was stopped when two passers-by shouted at the youths, who ran off towards Military Road.

The 20-year-old victim was checked over by ambulance staff but did not need hospital treatment.

The three youths are aged between 15 and 17. One was wearing a white hooded top with blue stripes on the arms. The other two had dark-coloured hooded tops on.

The police searched the area but were unable to find the suspects.
