Pool of blood seen after assault outside the Beaney Museum in Canterbury

A man is thought to have suffered head injuries after an assault outside the Beaney museum in Canterbury last night.

Two police vans and about 12 officers were seen in the High Street at about 10.30pm.

A man has been arrested.

Gazette reporter Alex Claridge was at the scene and said the victim looked like he was unconscious.

He said: “There was a pool of blood around his head.

“It was just chaos. There were lots of people shouting.”
