A man was slashed in an assault in a city estate.

Police were called to Forrester Close in Canterbury to reports of a man being injured in an attack.

The man in his 40s suffered cuts to his arms in the incident.

No arrests have been made and police say inquiries are ongoing.

The man was not seriously injured.

The incident happened just after 9.30pm on Friday evening, but details have only just emerged.
