Appeal for witnesses after suspected stabbing in Pine Tree Avenue in Canterbury

Police are appealing for information after a suspected stabbing in Canterbury.

Officers were called to Pine Tree Avenue at around 6am today where a man was found with injuries consistent with a stabbing.

The victim, in his 20s, was taken to a London hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Brian Doughty said: "We would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward, as you may have information which could assist our inquiries.

"Any witnesses are urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference 29-263."
