Canterbury street attack leaves man with fractured skull

A man's skull and cheek were fractured in a street attack in the middle of the afternoon.

The victim was walking along Old Dover Road in Canterbury at 1pm when he was approached by a group of people.

An altercation took place and he was punched to the head, suffering his injuries.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigating officer DC Mark Huttley said: “We continue to carry out a number of enquiries into the incident but I am particularly looking for anyone who may have captured it on their mobile phone or who has dashcam footage of the incident which I hope will give us a clearer picture of what happened.”

The victim is now recovering at home after the attack on Tuesday.
