Search for missing man Robert Walter from Eastry, between Sandwich and Canterbury

A man reported missing for more than a day has now been found.

Robert Walter, from Eastry, near Sandwich, was spotted on a bicycle yesterday at 7am as he made his way towards Canterbury.

But the 59-year-old, who was heading for the village of Bridge, had not been seen since and was reported missing to police yesterday.

Officers became increasingly concerned for his welfare and an appeal for public help was launched.

Robert has however now been safely located and the search called off.
