Police 'take away' car set for McDonald's delivery in Canterbury

People expecting a takeaway had a long wait... after police took away their delivery car.

Canterbury officers tweeted a picture of a car near Fenwicks department store in Canterbury.

It showed a car being taken away by police and placed on a ramp.

It's believed the driver had no car insurance.

The tweet said: "If your McDonalds delivery didn't arrive tonight, we have a confession to make.

"We made our very own take away... of the delivery driver's car for driving without insurance. Six points and a £200 fine for their troubles."

The driver now faces a grilling from his fellow diners.
