Canterbury: Darren Allen and Alex Watson to appear at court for serious assault

A man in his 40s suffered serious facial injuries when he was assaulted in Canterbury.

Darren Allen, 29, and Alex Watson, 22, both of no fixed address, have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm to the victim.

The city centre attack, which happened in The Borough just before 12.30am last Wednesday, left the victim with several injuries.

Both men charged with the assault appeared at Margate Magistrates’ Court and were remanded in custody.

The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on Thursday, September 6.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and ask for anyone who saw anything of the incident to call 01843 222289 quoting ZY/46062/18.
