One taken to hospital with neck injuries after crash on the Old Thanet Way between Whitstable and Herne Bay

A crash victim been taken to hospital with neck injuries today after a collision on the Old Thanet Way in Whitstable.

Police were called at 12.35pm after a black Audi TT and a white Ford trailer motor home collided near McDonalds in Chestfield.

The victim was taken to hospital in Margate with neck injuries. Police are unable to say whether the patient is male or female.

The road was closed for more than two hours with traffic from Whitstable diverted through Clover Rise to the Sainsbury's roundabout.

Fire and ambulance crews helped police at the scene. The road was reopened at 2.50pm.
