Police recover shotgun following disturbance in Brockenhurst Close, Canterbury

Police have recovered a shotgun after being called to a disturbance in Canterbury last night.

Officers went to Brockenhurst Close at around 11.42pm and took away the weapon, although there is no evidence it was used.

A Kent police spokesman said there was no perceived risk to the public or arrests.

He added that it was not being treated as a firearms incident and armed officers were not deployed.

Inquiries are continuing into the incident.
