Police have stepped their investigation into a crash that left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

They were called to the scene in Broad Oak Road, Canterbury, following the collision between a motorbike and a car at about 3am on Sunday, August 25.

The motorcyclist was riding a white Honda towards Sturry when he collided with a white Renault 5 close to the junction with Farleigh Road.

He was treated at the scene for about two hours before being flown to King's College Hospital in London at about 5.30am.

The driver of the car, a 25-year-old man, was arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail as enquiries continue.

The road was closed between Willow Close and Booker Wholesale for about nine hours, reopening at midday.
