A man has been injured after a transit van overturned on the M2 near Faversham.

Police confirmed the it happened on the London-bound carriageway at around 7.20pm.

A spokesman said: "The driver is being seen by SECAMB but is not seriously injured.

"Two lanes have been closed but are due to open soon."

Traffic is said to be queuing between Junction 7 for Brenley Corner and Junction 6 for Faversham.

There are also reports a vehicle has hit the central reservation coastbound, on the opposite side of the carriageway, near J7, which is also causing tailbacks.
