Southeastern trains from London St Pancras delayed due to trespasser at Chartham

Southeastern trains from London St Pancras are delayed due to a trespasser on the railway line.

The person, who was spotted on the line at Chartham, near Canterbury, has since been detained.

Power to all lines was halted while police dealt with the incident.

All lines are now open and trains are moving through the area, but with delays.

British Transport Police confirmed concern was raised for the welfare of a man at 3.55pm.

A spokesman said: "The man was later removed from harms way and was taken to a place of safety."
