Ray Turner will bide time in building Faversham Town squad

Faversham boss Ray Turner has no fears about embarking on a complete squad re-building programme in the summer.

Turner has just one player signed up for next season, defender Ashley Brown, while negotiations are on-going with goalkeeper Rob French.

But Turner is in no rush to nail down the rest of the players for his Ryman League Division 1 South side.

"I’ve learned that it’s one thing to be talking to players and another to have them signing for you and playing in the first game of the season," said Turner.

"We could be starting with a clean slate. I inherited a side from last year and I will be looking at the whole picture. If I have to start again then I would do and I wouldn’t be particularly worried about having to do that."
