It may be unlucky for some but Friday the 13th proved to be a great day for 10-year-old Levi Fegan-Moncaster.

For the youngster who was badly injured in a road accident last September returned to school for the first time.

Fellow pupils and staff welcomed him back to Parkside Community Primary School in Canterbury.

At a special asembly Levi received The Achieve Mark Award from Sarah Hopleins, manager of Canterbury School Sports Partnership, on behalf of the school.

Head teacher Irene Nierzwicka said she wanted to thank all the people of Canterbury for asking after Levi over the last five months.

He will return to school part-time after the half-term break.

Levi was injured when he was in collision with a lorry while riding his bike in Sturry Road on September 27. He was treated at the Royal London Hospital.
