Delays after car crashes into tree on A257 Wingham Road, Littlebourne

There were long delays after a car hit a tree on a busy route.
The A257 Wingham Road in Littlebourne was closed in both directions due to the crash, which happened just before 5pm.
Police set up a cordon between Nargate Street and Cherville Lane, and traffic was turned around.
The road was re-opened by 6.30pm.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police received a report of a single vehicle collision at 4.54pm on Friday 2 October.

"Officers are currently attending the scene in Wingham on the A257. The Ford Fiesta is being recovered."
It is not known if anyone was injured.
