Police search for man after bikers damage badger sett near Canterbury

Police are investigating after a gang of off-road bikers reportedly damaged a badger sett.

The group are said to have ridden around woodland near Sturry Road, Canterbury, on five dates between June and August, vandalising the animal den.

Police are investigating possible offences under the Protection of Badgers Act 1992 and have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist their enquiries.

Officers are urging anyone with any information to call them on 01843 222289, quoting the reference number 08-0382, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
