Woman sexually assaulted in park near St Stephens Road, Canterbury

Police are hunting a teenager who sexually assaulted a woman as she walked through a Canterbury park.

The victim, aged in her 20s, was approached by the suspect on a green near St Stephen's Road.

He asked her for the time before leaning forward and touching her inappropriately over her clothes.

The victim walked away and reported the incident, which happened at around 7pm on Saturday, August 26.

She has now given a description of the suspect to officers, who have released a computer generated image.

He is described as black, of slim build and in his late teens with short dark hair and was wearing ripped jeans and a blue shirt.

Witnesses or anyone who recognises the man in the image are asked to call the appeal line on 01843 222289 quoting reference number ZY/040353/17, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
