A BOY of 12 was assaulted and robbed by a young man he had earlier knocked in to on his skateboard.

The boy has told police he collided with the man in the High Street at Canterbury at around 3pm on Tuesday, December 20.

About an hour later the boy says he saw the man again close to the Next shop and that the offender took his skateboard and walked off with it towards Dane John Gardens.

The victim and a friend followed the man into the gardens where the offender pushed him to the ground and went through his pockets, removing a wallet containing about £10.
