AISSA DEBY: Nothing so far to indicate she has been the victim of foul play

POLICE have been unable to trace a hospital cleaner reported missing by her family and friends.

They have been trying to discover the whereabouts of 24-year-old Aissa Deby, a French national who arrived in England last year to learn English and was working at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital.

She had been living in Cherry Drive, Canterbury, with a friend who last saw her at the Tesco Metro store in the city centre on March 20.

Miss Deby has not been seen or heard of since. Concerns increased when she failed to call her home in France for the birthday of her four-year-old son.

She is described as Afro-Caribbean and 5ft 5in with dark hair and braided extensions. Miss Deby’s family has been over from Paris to assist police with the investigation.

Det Insp Martin Lyddon: “We have spoken to Aissa’s friends, family and work colleagues regarding the disappearance. It is concerning that there seems to be no known reason for her to have gone missing and not contacted her family for so long. Equally there is nothing to indicate foul play.”
