'Stressed' university student found dead in his room in Canterbury

A stressed university student was found dead in his room, an inquest has heard.

Oghosa Ogbeide-Ihama, 19, had been "all over the place and stressed with university" prior to his death.

He was found dead in Canterbury on March 7.

Originally from London, the teenager had attended The Venue nightclub on the University of Kent campus on March 1.

The opening of the inquest at Archbishop's Palace in Maidstone on Monday heard how Mr Ogbeide-Ihama had been missing from lectures for two weeks.

Assistant coroner Sonia Hayes told the court how friends noticed the student had been stressed.

The circumstances into his death are not yet fully known.

The inquest, which did not outline which university Mr Ogbeide-Ihama attended, was adjourned for a later date in June.
