Canterbury: Woman, 18, dies in crash at Denne Hill, Womenswold

A teenage girl has died and a woman is fighting for her life after a crash in the early hours of this morning.

The collision happened at about 3.50am at Denne Hill in Womenswold near Canterbury.

The 18-year-old, who has been named locally as Casey Hood, was pronounced dead at the scene while a second woman was taken to a London hospital with critical injuries following the incident involving a Toyota Yaris.

Two men were taken to another hospital where their conditions are described as stable.

The car was previously drawn to the attention of police when it was parked on the A2 slip road towards Adisham Road. Officers later found the crashed car later in the night.

Paramedics, fire crews, police and an air ambulance attended the scene early this morning.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the Toyota prior to or at the time of the collision, or who have dashcam footage to get in contact.
