Sturry: Kent Police in Canterbury appeal for witnesses to fuel theft

A boatyard has been targeted by thieves twice in two weeks.

Police are appealing for witnesses after burglars stole red fuel tanks from three boats at the secure yard close to Westbere Lakes, Fordwich Road, Sturry between 5.40pm and 6.40pm on Thursday, June 23.

Officers would like to talk to two men who were seen in the area.

The first was white, stocky with cropped light hair. He was wearing a dark hoody, dark shorts and black trainers.

The second man was white, thin, with short, dark hair. He was wearing a red T-shirt, a hoody and dark trousers.

The boatyard was targeted again at 7pm on Wednesday, July 6, when two teenage girls were seen sliding under the fence and pushing a practice row boat worth £2,500 into the lake before rowing off.
