A lorry has hit a railway bridge near a busy train station in Canterbury.
The lorry has struck the bridge near Canterbury East, initially stopping trains running through the station.
Services between Faversham and Dover Priory were halted.
Network Rail tweeted: "We’ve had to stop trains at Canterbury East as a lorry has hit the road bridge just outside the station.
"The design of this bridge means we have to inspect it before we can open the line - really sorry for the delays."
Lines have now reopened after a Network Rail team assessed the bridge, but services running between Faversham and Dover Priory may still be cancelled or delayed.
