The lives of two buskers who drowned in a Canterbury pond will be celebrated at a special gig on Thursday.

Hugo Wenn, 17, and Daniel Lloyd, 25, were found in Reed Pond on Monday, January 30 after both had been reported missing.

Hundreds of floral tributes have been left in the city centre at the spots where both used to perform.

Last Saturday, Buttermarket Square was packed during a special memorial, which was also attended by Hugo's family.

Band CoCo and The Butterfields performed at the weekend and will be headlining Thursday's gig at The Picture House in St Peter's Street from 8.30pm. Their latest single has also been dedicated to Hugo and Daniel's memory.

Hugo, from Barham, was a former Archbishop's School pupil, while Daniel, from Wincheap, attended Harvey Grammar School in Folkestone.

A video of Daniel's single Guiding Stars has been viewed more than 52,000 times on YouTube, while a download version also broke into the iTunes Top 100 earlier this week.

Speaking this week, Hugo's family admitted they have been "deeply touched" by the public's reaction and thanked all those who have paid tribute.

Funeral details have yet to be arranged while both families wait for the outcome of toxicology tests.
