Photos emerge of Alexandru Constantinescu after 'murder' at Brotherhood Wood caravan site, Dunkirk, near Canterbury and Faversham

Friends of a 30-year-old music lover who is thought to have been murdered at a caravan site have paid tribute to him as a "beautiful soul".

Alexandru Constantinescu was found with a serious chest injury at Brotherhood Wood in Gate Hill - between Canterbury and Faversham - shortly after 7pm on Sunday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dozens of friends of Mr Constantinescu, who is thought to be Romanian, have since taken to Facebook to pen messages of grief and condolence.

Staicu Alin wrote: "You told me music is your life. Now from up there in the heavens you look at us.

"You walked away from us dear friend. You have left us forever, but for all of us you will remain in our heart. Rest in peace my friend."

He also posted a moving montage of images of Mr Constantinescu, which has since been shared more than 100 times.

"My heart broke out of me. God rest him in peace dear friend," said Adriana Nichol.

Corina Musat wrote: "I refuse, I can't believe...and yet unfortunately it's true. I'm terribly sorry. God rest him."

Alexandra Dinu added: "Peace beautiful soul."

It is thought Mr Constantinescu previously worked at Pro-Force Ltd - a Maidstone-based recruitment firm specialising in providing labour to the horticultural, agricultural, fresh produce and industrial sectors.

Dumitru Palazu, 48, of Gate Hill in Dunkirk, was charged with his murder this morning.

He has been remanded in custody, and was initially due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court today but his hearing has now postponed until tomorrow.

Two men previously arrested on suspicion of murder have been released without charge.

Another two men, who were also arrested on suspicion of murder, remain in custody as enquiries continue.

On Monday, a section of the A2 between Brenley Corner and the A28 Ashford Road was closed in connection with the investigation while police are thought to have been looking for evidence.

Parish council chairman Jeff Tutt offered his condolences to the family of the victim following the death.

"We don't know them, but whoever they are, anyone's death in these circumstances is horrible and we wouldn't wish that on anybody," he said.
